Outstanding Leaving Certificate Results 2016

Outstanding Leaving Certificate Results 2016On August 17th students from the class of 2016 returned to Scoil Mhuire to receive their Leaving Certificate results. Students continued our proud tradition, producing outstanding results. These results ensure that students are now able to continue in further education with the majority of students securing their course of choice. Students this year received results in an impressive range of 25 subjects. All students taking higher level maths secured the bonus 25 points with a number of students also achieving grade A1. Impressive results were also recorded in a range of subjects including Technology with 14 A grades, Biology with 12 A grades and Home Economics where over 50% of the class scored an A grade, to name but a few. This year 25% of students secured in excess of 500 points and this compares with a national rate of around 9.9%. The percentage of students who gained more than 400 points stands at 53% while 65% achieved over 350 points. Congratulations and well done to students, parents and teachers on this remarkable achievement.
