Two groups of transition year students took part in the Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition.  In entering the competition they made a three-minute video detailing how they would plan for the promotion of the Certified Irish Angus in the area. Their videos contained trips to the local mart in Kanturk where they offered samples of certified Irish Angus steak burgers to the customers of the mart kindly sponsored by Jack Mc McCarthy’s butchers, as well as visiting farmers in the local area.  Students made it through the first round and were invited to an interview in the South Court Hotel Limerick.  From this Caitlyn Heffernan, Jenny Buckley and Lisa Finn were successful and are now invited to attend an exhibition event in Croke Park on 15^th March 2017 which will be attended by Agriculture industry representatives.  We wish them well in the competition.

Well done to Jenny, Lisa, Caitlin and Ms. McSweeney who presented in Croke Park in the final of the Certified Irish Angus Beef School Competition on Wednesday 15th March. Best of luck with the results.
